BRYCE DOT VC: Everyone Fails
Whether you’re the tiniest fish in the sea or an elephant in the savannas, everyone poops. And whether you’re just starting your first company or a cofounder of Facebook, everyone fails. Its what we learn and how we recover from our failures that will set us apart from everyone else.
Bryce’s post resonated with me because a year ago I remember a good friend of mine passing me a link to Jumo. Their message resonated with me, and Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes was the right guy to ignite the social activism side of technology. I don’t know Chris, but I admire what Jumo wanted to be.
If you’re a would be entrepreneur, you will never know if you will succeed or fail until you take the first step. Hindsight is always perfect, but don’t underestimate the courage it takes to do a startup.
Experience is a collection of failures and wins, and that’s why failing is just as important as succeeding.
